After a period of rapid growth, Jensen’s Gin noticed their sales beginning to level out. Reflecting on this, they realised they’d been focusing too much on what they sold rather than the story behind their brand. Jensen’s wasn’t just about producing great spirit—it represented a movement. As pioneers of the craft alcohol scene in London, they embodied authenticity and tradition and as one of the few gins stocked by Claridge’s, their product was held in very high regard. Despite a unique shelf presence, a more refined approach to branding and packaging was needed to better reflect their growth and standing among London’s gin aficionados, solidifying their standing beyond their Bermondsey roots.

London became the focus of the brand, embodying the strong sense of belonging and attachment their customers feel—something far deeper than fancying a gin. This connection is reflected in a brand that loves London as much as its followers do. At its core is the founder’s story, prominently displayed on the front of the packaging, reinforcing a personal, approachable brand tone. The design is clean and timeless, featuring a Tower Bridge icon angled to represent Jensen’s Bermondsey roots, south of the river. Luxury finishes, including foil and embossing, add a tactile elegance, while all communications echo this simplicity, visually aligning with the product’s refined taste.
The creation of Jensen’s website, advertising concepts, and various POS materials ensures the brand now communicates with a consistent, instantly recognisable tone. Packaging design retains nods to the brand’s roots while evolving to reflect its premium positioning. A bespoke secondary label system was also developed for their hand-bottled infusions range. These labels are handwritten, highlighting the uniqueness of each bottle as a true one-off. Available exclusively through Jensen’s Bermondsey Distillery at Maltby Street Market, the infusion range captures the essence of craftsmanship and authenticity, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to quality and its connection to London’s vibrant craft culture.
